FAQ

Common questions about who we work with

Who does Evolution Counseling Services work with?
High-functioning adults, professionals and executives, entrepreneurs and business owners, couples, and men and teen boys located in Texas, Colorado, or Missouri.
Do I need to be in crisis to start therapy?
No. Most clients here are functioning well externally and want support with patterns, exhaustion, or relationships before things reach a breaking point.
What does high-functioning mean?
It describes people who meet responsibilities and appear composed while privately carrying anxiety, exhaustion, perfectionism, or disconnection.
Do you work with couples as well as individuals?
Yes. We provide individual therapy, couples therapy, premarital work, and intimacy-focused sessions.
Do you see teenagers?
We work with adults and have some availability for teen boys. Ask during your consultation whether your situation is a fit.
Do you work with men who have never been to therapy?
Yes. Men's counseling here is direct and practical, and many clients are starting therapy for the first time.
Can entrepreneurs and business owners get support here?
Yes. We work with the pressure, identity fusion with work, isolation, and decision fatigue that come with running a business.
What if I am not sure which category I fit into?
You do not need to choose one. Call or use the Start Here page and we will help identify the right service and clinician.
Do I have to live in Texas, Colorado, or Missouri?
You must be physically located in one of those states during your session. Coaching services are not restricted by state licensure.
Do you work with clients from all cultural and faith backgrounds?
Yes. Care is respectful of culture, faith, orientation, gender identity, and relationship structure.
What concerns do your clients most often bring?
Anxiety, burnout, perfectionism, trauma, relationship strain, communication problems, boundaries, life and career transitions, and self-worth.
Can I bring my partner into my individual therapy?
Sometimes a partner joins a session when it supports your goals. Ongoing couples work is usually scheduled as its own service.
What if therapy is not the right service for me?
If coaching, psychiatric care, or a specialist is a better fit, your clinician will say so directly and help you find appropriate care.
Are sessions available outside standard business hours?
Some evening availability exists and varies by clinician. Ask about current openings when you reach out.
How do I get matched with the right clinician?
Start on the Start Here page or call the office. We consider your goals, state, preferences, and schedule, then recommend a clinician.
