Services

A place to put down what you have been carrying.

Individual therapy can help you understand the patterns beneath anxiety, burnout, emotional exhaustion, relationship difficulties, and the pressure to keep functioning no matter how you feel.

Recognition

You may not feel as though everything is falling apart. You may still be working, caring for others, meeting responsibilities, and appearing composed. Yet underneath that functioning, you may feel exhausted, disconnected, resentful, anxious, numb, or unsure how much longer you can keep going in the same way. Therapy gives you a private, thoughtful space to stop performing, tell the truth about what is happening, and understand what you need.

Questions people ask

How long are individual therapy sessions?
Standard individual sessions are approximately 55 minutes and are scheduled by appointment.
How many therapy sessions will I need?
There is no fixed number. It depends on your goals and what you are working through, and your clinician reviews progress with you regularly rather than committing you to a set timeline.
Do you accept insurance for individual therapy?
Insurance participation varies by clinician and plan. See Rates & Insurance for current details and verify your benefits with your plan before the first session.
Is individual therapy done online or in person?
All individual therapy is provided virtually through a secure, HIPAA-appropriate video platform.
Which states can I be located in for therapy?
You must be physically located in Texas, Colorado, or Missouri at the time of your session, because clinicians can only practice where they are licensed.
What happens in the first individual therapy session?
The first session focuses on your history, what brought you in now, and what you want to change. You and your clinician agree on initial goals and a working plan.
How do I know if I need therapy?
If distress, exhaustion, anxiety, or relationship patterns are persistent, interfering with daily life, or not improving on their own, therapy is appropriate. You do not need a crisis to qualify.
How often will I meet with my therapist?
Most clients begin weekly or every other week, then reduce frequency as goals are met.
What issues can individual therapy help with?
Anxiety, overthinking, depression, burnout, trauma, grief, life and career transitions, self-esteem, perfectionism, people-pleasing, boundaries, and relationship patterns.
Is what I say in therapy confidential?
Yes. Sessions are confidential, with narrow legal exceptions such as risk of serious harm or abuse, which your clinician explains at intake.
Can I switch therapists if it is not the right fit?
Yes. Fit matters more than anything else in therapy, and you can request a different clinician at any time without explanation.
Do you prescribe medication?
No. Our clinicians provide therapy, not medication management, and can coordinate with your prescriber or refer you to one.
How much does individual therapy cost?
Rates vary by clinician and service. Current fees, sliding-scale availability, and payment options are listed on the Rates & Insurance page.
What is your cancellation policy?
Appointments should be cancelled or rescheduled with advance notice; the specific window and any fee are stated in your intake paperwork.
How do I get started with individual therapy?
Start with the Start Here page or call the office. We match you with a clinician based on your goals, state, and availability, then schedule your first session.

You don't have to carry it all alone.
